Chicago

Make snow angel reflections in the "Bean" at Millennium Park; take in a play at the Chopin Theatre around the corner; ice skate on the 94th floor of the John Hancock; indulge in the Chicago Symphony Orchestra; visit a coffee house or a local music venue like our local Davenport's - what ever you choose, Chicago always inspires. The Art Institute of Chicago offers one of the best art collections in the world with an amazing permanent collection and masterful traveling exhibitions. Originally begun to offer examples of "great art" to the students at the School of the Art Institute, it is still a wonderful inspiration today. AIC Museum of Contemporary Art

The Field Museum of Natural History
where you will find Sue our city's Tyrannosaurus Rex or the
Museum
of Science
and Industry, the only remaining building from the 1893 Columbian
Exposition are both wonderful ways to spend a day. From
the Field Museum you can walk to the
Adler Planetarium, visit the Shedd Aquarium and find some of the best views of the
city. The National Museum of Mexican Art in Pilsen takes you into some different
neighborhoods on the south side of Chicago or explore some of the
city's lesser known museums or galleries: The
Surgical
Sciences Museum; a free Wednesday tour of the
Charnley Persky house, a Louis Sullivan residence; Ukrainian Art Museum; our local Polish Museum;
or one of our local galleries,
Corbett vs. Dempsey
, just around the corner from us in the East Village.
Wicker Park is filled with great dining selections from Italian, Mexican, Thai, Sushi/Japanese, Polish, Irish Pub, Bar B Que, Global Meatless, 100% Organic and lots more. Although all the Al Fresco dining will be off the sidewalks, there are lots of options for delivery, if you don't wish to go out at night, but we highly recommend a little walk down Division Street for some of the best restaurants in town.
