Calendar of Events

Please read the information about deadlines. Here we also list a tentative daily schedule of events.

Application deadline: 30 days prior to the start of any residency
Fellowship deadline : December 1, 2013 for any of the 2014 residencies
Completed applications for residency with fellowships should be e-mailed to info@chicagoartretreats.org, faxed to 773-235-1410 or postmarked no later than December 1st, 2013. Please send via separate e-mail your letter of intent as part of the fellowship application. Applications without fellowship requests are accepted at any time up to 30 days prior to the start of the session and will be reviewed on a first-come basis.

Only complete applications will be considered.

Part 2: Fellowship application: a letter of intent is required. Email us one or two paragraphs about what you expect to accompish during your residency/retreat. Send your letter of intent now or email later to: info@chicagoartretreats.org

Fellowship Application Review
Your fellowship application will be reviewed as soon as it is received and you will receive notification within one week of receipt of your application. Writers should submit via e-mail 2-3 pages of sample writing, excerpted from a larger work or 2-3 pages of poetry. Artists need only provide their letter of intent (what they plan to accomplish while in residence) and a website address or jpgs of their work.
Participation Confirmation
To confirm participation, a $100 deposit is required. The balance is due 30 days prior to the start of your residency.

Week in residence
Your residency or retreat begins on a Monday and ends on the following Sunday. Visit the Residence page for more info.
