Chicago Winter Retreats and Residencies Application Process
The application process is simple. If you wish to apply for a Fellowship, include the letter of intent with your application.
Application Schedule
- Application and Fellowship submission
Complete all parts of the form. Include letter of intent: (Tell us what you expect to accomplish during your retreat) Send your letter of intent now. - Deadline: December 1, 2011 for Fellowships
- 30 days prior to start of residency for Application without Fellowship
- Fellowship review
Your submission for a Fellowship will be reviewed as soon as it is received and a decision will be made and you will be notified with one week of receipt. - Selection notification
After you receive your e-mail confirmation, you should begin to make your travel plans since visas, permits and plane tickets may take time to finalize. To find additional sources for funding visit our Resources page. - Participation confirmation
The final step to complete the application process is to submit a $100 deposit towards your residency. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the start of your residency. We can arrange for payment installments, but the final payment must be made at least 30 days prior to arrival. - Welcome Packet
- Two weeks prior to your arrival you will receive a welcome packet with directions on how and when to arrive, what to bring, and your 7 day CTA pass.
